Kelly Ripa was a proud mother when she discovered her son Michael Consuelos made the list of the sexiest men alive in 2022 during Live With Kelly And Ryan on Wednesday.
The TV personality, 52, found out about the big news when her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, made the big reveal, prompting her to respond with a shock: “You kidding me!”
The star shares her 25-year-old son, Michael, with husband and Hollywood actor, Mark Consuelos. The couple are also parents to daughter Lola, 21, and son Joaquin, 19.

Kelly and Ryan were initially discussing Chris Evans’ cover of the People Sexist Alive issue during one segment until the conversation suddenly shifted.
On Air With host Ryan Seacrest began to explain that he had been flipping through the magazine when he came across the Gen Next section.
He flipped another page under Kelly’s gaze, revealing a photo of his son, Michael, wearing a green blazer with no shirt underneath.
The mother-of-three immediately had a shocked reaction and leaned closer to the photo, as if she couldn’t believe her own eyes.

“It’s a Consuelos!” Ryan announced, as he lifted the magazine to give viewers a glimpse. “Michael is one of the sexiest people in the world.”
‘Are you kidding me!’ Kelly asked, completely flabbergasted. She grabbed the magazine and quickly put on her glasses to get a closer look. ‘That child!’
“You’d think he’d tell us, so we could pick up some copies for the grandparents,” she hilariously commented.
In the top right corner of the page next to the sexy snap of Michael, a small throwback photo of Kelly’s husband, Mark, has been placed to show the similar comparison between father and son.

I couldn’t believe it! Throughout the video, Kelly seemed very surprised to reunite with her son in People’s Sexiest Man Alive number.
“It’s funny, I forget they look alike until I see pictures of them like that. It’s crazy,’ Kelly said raising the page to the camera.
She then started to read aloud the short description next to the photo. “Michael respects his father’s work ethic.”
The star stopped and sent a confused look at the cameras and jokingly commented, “Yeah, he worked one day last week.”
Later, she then gave a short message to her son, stating: “Michael Consuelos”. I’ve always thought of you as a handsome, lovable boy… conscientious, hard-working, diligent, respectful.
“I had no idea you were considered…sexy,” she said, giving the word “sexy” a whispered emphasis.

During an interview with People for the Sexiest Man Alive 2022 issue, Michael also admitted that he often borrows clothes from his father.

“And I’m like, ‘Oh, you weren’t home. You were in Vancouver for a while, so I thought…” He said, “Don’t understand, ask! Michael humorously admitted.
Although he works as a producer in the entertainment industry, Michael notably played the younger version of his father in Riverdale, giving him a chance to get into acting.
