Adele opens up to fans about her experiences with therapy.

According to multiple news reports and video footage, the British singer spoke candidly about her mental health during her Friday, Dec. 9 performance as part of her “Weekends with Adele” residency in Las Vegas. The Grammy winner told onlookers that she had “started going to therapy again.”

“I went a few years without it,” she added, according to the Independent.

“I just needed to hold myself accountable,” she admitted.

“Now I do it because I just want to make sure I recharge every week to make sure I can give it all to you,” she said.

“I love making music, but there’s something about performing live that normally terrifies me and fills me with dread,” she said. “That’s why I’m not a big touring artist. I did it last time to prove I could do it. But that experience of being in a room that size, I think I could be a living artist for the rest of my life.”

Although she has acknowledged that she feels a lot of pressure to be perfect, Adele is learning to let go of some of that and embrace the support she receives from her audience.

“If my voice isn’t top notch, that’s fine, but my soul is top notch, I’ll tell you – that’s what I try to tell my therapist,” she said. to cheers before adding that the “human interaction” she gets from her weekend shows has made her “the happiest I’ve ever been”.

Adele – who also offered best wishes to fellow singer Celine Dion after announcing she has stiff person syndrome – has previously opened up about the heartache she felt over her divorce.

“It made me really sad,” she said rolling stone of separation. “Then have so many people I don’t know to know that I didn’t do this work…it devastated me. I was embarrassed. Nobody made me feel embarrassed, but you feel like you didn’t do a good job.”

Meanwhile, the newly single star focused on her mental health, which included sound baths, meditation and “a lot of therapy”, according to her interview with vogue Last year. She also credited her new gym routine for not only changing her body, but also helping her heal mentally.

“I realized that when I was working out, I didn’t have any anxiety,” she told the magazine. “It was never about losing weight. I thought, if I can make my body physically strong, and I can feel it and see it, then maybe one day I can make my emotions and my spirit physically strong.”
